try this:
open JKEYS and go straight to development panel. type in all the addresses etc etc and make sure the light comes on after you hit "write word" on the last base address. maybe you are using the wrong flash on your IRD. go to system upgrade i think and there should be some numbers there. if it ends in 05, use unwinked and if it ends with 20, then use the winked flash. u know, once i had an IRD that wouldn't erase a part of the damn flash and i cleaned up that big ass IC in the middle of the board and it worked (there was a small glob of solder on it). hope this helps

Recently I have a 420 that would not completely erase the flash, but it re-programmed fine. Normally if a 420 flash is not blank jkeys will not preceed, this one did, and works fine.........go figure...........
If you cut the trace and apply 5v to FP, the developemental panel routine to turn the light on is not nescessary. Since you plan to write protect anyway, cut the trace before you start, and apply 5v to FP, forget the dev panel stuff, things will go much smoother...........

I just did the mod to a 430 with the Intel chip. Did the trace cut and lock prior to boot to link. Switch was set so that the FP was connected to the 5.5 V connection. The erase and programming didn't come back with any errors. The problem is when I turn it on, it appears to be working fine with the p4 CAM, but after about 10 minutes the damn thing shuts off. I reflashed it with both versions of the most recent nozkt bin and there was no change. I checked the board for any stray pieces of solder and tapped it trying to shake any pieces loose, but that didn't help. Just got fed up with it and switched back to the trusty 420. I've searched for similar problems and this thread is the closest I could find.
Any help would be appreciated.
