Searching for signal (DTV)

Posted this earlier.got moved to Dish Forum... I am using an old dish network dish for my DTV Is there any way to get rid of the Searching for signal message?. This is an oval dish with two transponders. Will changing to new Round dish with single transponder fix this problem. Ther receiver is a DRD420RE and I have it set up as a (round Dish) This seems to work the best.. The message comes up usually when changing channels.. Any help will be appreciated..
