getting into testing a bit late in the game, yes? but none the less the more the merrier. sounds to me like the program you dl'd might be outdated. try a few others. if you get the info channel you're programming right. try resetting (unplug) the reciever for a minute and see what happens. once you get picture and programming you want, be patient for the pic in pic to come up. key word, "patient". luck to ya

The keys are outdated-get the updated keys-sounds like the script don't auto roll on a key change so you have to do it manually,if you can read the card in NE change the keys and write to card.

car keys might be incorrect also. check them in your ignition. :).
sounds like the video decript keys are wrong. if box keys were wrong wouldnt he get the card inserted is not valid?

Wrong boxkeys will not give you an error message. Wrong public keys will give you the Error #005 message. Sounds like it's either his boxkeys or the decrypt keys are wrong.

There are three sets of keys kids. Please be specific.
1. Box keys .....in the IRD
2. Public keys .. on card (the keys charlie is always changing)
3. Partiy keys .. (in card) these keys change about once a year.
Voltor has outdated public keys and has to reprogram the rom card with new ones.
That's what will give you black screen with guide and the free channels only.
