Trying to get Card working . What will i need

Well im new to this and heres what i have . I have a rom 3 card that was programmed to use it to get the Bev Channels. Now i want to use it for dish . Its a rom 3 at 372 . It seems i cant read from the card using nagraedit . It says backdoor closed . I have a iso programmer with the 3.6864 crystal. I am not the one who programmed the card for bev . So is there a way to unlock the card and write to it with what i got . I also have a card currently working for dish but it seems thats locked too and i cant read it .Thanks for the help.

Please give exact error message, x out some of your ATR if it is valid.

Some times the back door will be closed and ill use rompuke v4 and it will open it back up but i cant get any further with the card .

Try running Bugcatcher in nagra 4.1..sometimes this will eliminate errors in programming kard..

I had 1 do this; all I did was write a clean bin to it!

Well i got it to work . Some how . And then i applied some patch and now its at Rev 383 and then the back door was locked again . But i played around some more and got the back door open again . Now just trying to figure out how to add the channels and get them to come in .

One step clean(full) first. Do you have Mili's blocker ?

Got everything to work now . I dont have that blocker but im using the Stuff From TDFC ver2 ,. I even have the PPV working . Do i need the blocker your asking about ?? Also i have a dish 4500 receiver that was used for Getting Bev so can this be swicthed back to use to get Dish?? If so what do i need to do that?? Thanks

As long as you included the built-in blocker you're probably ok(although Mili's is better all round I feel). The 4500 can be converted, click on receivers and hardware near the top of the page and goto convert your...... for the how-to.

Actuall the 4500 cannot be transferred back, it does not have a jtag port, the list at bellexpress.vu says it does, but it is a misprint. the only way to transfer it back to dish is to remove the tsop program it with a dish tsop bin and then resolder it back in and restream it. NO since in doing the junk yard fix on it because dish no longer keeps the 4500 in the data stream, so it will not help.

4500 is considered a grey box...

He'll need to reprogram U19, U26 and the EPROM....all 3 of them..

your right 110, I forgot the 4500 is a dual tsop, you can however simply hard reset the receiver and take care of the eeprom that way, without actually removing it
