I have a rom 3 rev 372, I locked a card few weeks ago by trying to use TCFDII , I guess there was no blocker , iam not familiar at all with them , i used rom2 before.
But this Rom 3 is open still

So how do i go about programing a rom 3 with TCFD or anyother way that is relativley simple. but including a blocker so it doesnt get stream locked .
what programs , blockers, and names, so i can look for them. and blockers are they always changing . or they all still working.
sincerely

TCFD usually applies the blocker. Might try unlocking your ROM 3 using DEAD BEEF BAAD F00D which I think is the default password. The password can be changed using "configure IRD", then MISC when you are in TCFD. Not sure if this will help, but TCFD works great for me on all ROMs, even Rom 2. Good luck.

Go to www.bellexpress.vu and on the left hand menu read these carefully; click getting started, click how-to & then click rom programming, click j-tagging, click private blocker.
I highly recommend Mili's private blocker @ 25USD, it is well worth the money and most reliable as well as easy to use. If you create your tiers in tcfd2 and check no blocker then you can use Mili's Blocker, it is mostly all in the how-to's above except for the tcfd2 part, they used RTM for tiers. JT is posting current tiers in the Sticky in the Private Blocker Forum, get Mili's Blocker and use JT's tiers and you will be AOK.

When you are in TCFD and you go to "configure IRD" tab, there will be some tabs on the top and one says "misc". Go to that and it will have a check box for exclude blocker. Make sure that you have it unchecked. This will place the GCSB 2.52 on the card. I've been running with it no problems except for the key roll issue which was solved within a day or so. When that happened, I just ran blockerless and I'll pop it open later if I ever need to get back into the card.

So TCFD by unchecking that blocker , it would protect the card from getting locked.
what about in TCFD when it tells u unlock card, then one step clean , apply patch , then check blocker at E178.6.
that i dont understand and dont know where to find it . i looked under Eprom but could not find E178.6

By unchecking the blocker you open yourself to being hit, do not stream that card without a blocker !! You should be cleaning your card in NagraEdit 4.1.
One step clean(full) in Nagra. If using TCFD 2 and not Mili's blocker you must use Caddy's instructions. Do not check the box to exclude the blocker, if you are going to use Mili's blocker then check the box and create tiers only but JT has already done that 4 everyone in his Sticky in the Private Blocker Forum.
Which way are you going to go so we know exactly what to tell you ?

Yes the blocker works fine....One good piece of advice.......read the readme.txt in TCFD and it will explain (step by step) how to program your card.....

BTW, the default password for tcfd is not the normal deadbeefbaadfood.....it should be in the readme also....as long as you did not go in and check the box to exclude blocker, your card is not streamed locked and you should be able to get into it with the default pass....One more question, when you originally setup TCFD, it ask you to set your own (personal ) password....that would be the one that unlocks that first card....good luck
