Is there any truth to the rumer that PayPal is cooperating with Dave.

Any truth to it? Well..how about 100 percent?
If you buy hacking equipment on E-bay and pay for it through PayPal, you can expect a nice letter... :(

Not illegal to purchase a receiver, or a smartcard, dish, etc....main thing to watch for is unloopers, 745 boards and such. A most definite no-no on e-bay...

Its a Very bad Deal to do much on Ebay Or ESpy to do with Dss Or Dish EQ As they are working Hard & Daves Has His Own Sellers out their too

I have a friend that was trying to purchase an RCA reciever on eBay. He was very atamant about wanting an RCA of certain model types. He tried to make a purchase from a vendor on eBay that seriously scammed him and inadvertantly leaked some information in the round of email bashing that insued. This guy is a "power seller" with over 1500 sales and near perfect feedback and specializes in DSS sales. The eBay vendor using the name "unclefreddies" is a merchant for Dave. He only ships USPS so that the package can be traced to your home. My buddy recieved a 7th generation Philips instead of what he ordered and paid for. Sure, it's a nice reciever, but....Of course neither eBay or unclefreddies did anything what so ever to attempt to resolve my buddies complaint. YES, EBAY AND PAYPAL ARE WORKING WITH DAVE! No question about it. Avoid doing business with unclefreddies on eBay, he is the enemy! Even though the buying and selling of recievers is legal, even that is monitored on at least a cursory level.
