Hello, anyone know the elevation for this satellite from the west coast,(vancouver , BC) its got to be pretty low, I can pick up echostar 61.5 at 10 degree elevation no problem. I have a 33" dish with a linear lnb and a fta receiver, thanks in advance.

I think you'll need a 10 foot (C-band) dish to receive Intelsat 805 at 55.5°W. Am I correct?

I am not sure, I was hoping a 33" would do it, the elevation is very low at 5.7 degrees.

30" Ku band dish will do just fine if you are in Canada. A Ku 33" or biger in the US.

Tested and mother approve!

Hi "Crow 492",

according to lyngsat.com, Intelsat 805 is a C-band type bird. Doesn't that imply that you need a 7 foot dish to receive it?

Before I buy a 33 inch FTA dish to receive Intelsat 805, can someone confirm if I will be able to receive a spanish channel called Panamericana TV using it? Thanks.

you need a 10f dish, less than that is not going to do it. the frequencies are not strong for a 33 dish. anything above 10000 frequency you might be able to get with a 33".
