I'm having a similar problem with a pansat 2500A. I have two pansats, one is flshed with the modified ultra bin and works fine.
The other belongs to a friend and the last bin he had on it was the 246 autoroll. I tried reflashing and putting 249 bin on but got knightrider. So i reflashed with factory bin (222 i think), then put on 250 bin because for some reason 249 kept giving knightrider mode. loaded a channel list but level dropped to around 35 and got no quality. Tried the modded ultra bin on this baby as well and same results. There's not a problem with my disshes or switches because my pansat that's running the modded ultra bin works!

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Do not put that bin in that receiver. It will blow up.

I put the file in and it worked good as long as you don't hook up the switch.I hooked the switch to it .and kill the signal,I no the switch is good because I am useing it for my fortec star,I am still trying to fix this.As long as you hook one cable up from sat. to reciever I can get it to wook.

I solved my problem by using the pansat boot kit! Maybe you should give it a try. Another suggestion, do not put the 250 bin on any pansat clone! It seems to work pretty well on original pansats but will kill the clones!
