Hello Everyone
After Crow confirmed about 90% Quality in Canada with 33" dish. I bought all hardware. I think I should have waited. Because now crow flew away, and I could not lock into the sat. no matter what I do.
Someone please help me in setting it up

Bearing: 147 degrees Your dish must point to 147 degrees to see the satellite.
Elevation: 34.1 degrees You must elevate your dish to point 34.1 degrees up from level in order to see the satellite.

Thanks Little larry
Thats what I have trying to do past 3 days. I can aim at any dish or bell sat in less than 5 min. So I thought this would be also an 5 min. job.
But now some one saying that atleast 10' dish is needed to get intelsat 805 in GTA

10'? no I used to pickit up on a starchoice 48" cottage kit from muskoka's, you should be able to get it on a 30 or so in GTA.
P.S. Get a sat finder, makes life a whole lot easier

I also tried to get 805 with a 33" dish, but my understanding is that you need a bigger dish possibly a 10' to get such low frequencies. But if you managed to get 805 with a 33" please can you share your experince with us. Thank You

33" Ku band dish will work. Check your your local freq 5150 STANDARD or at

Hi Crow, Glad you R back.
My LNB says 11700~12750, which is not even close to standard(5150) freq. of LNB.
The local freq. for intel-805 are already programmed in receiver.
The only thing I am thinking is to move the dish to another location.

Which channels are you planning to catch on Intelsat 805? To my understanding a 33 inch dish will only receive the KU channels and Intelsat 805 has no KU channels.

Intelsat 805 is C-band and not KU band. Visit lyngsat.com and see it for yourself.

Well this is interesting!
Lyngsat do mention freq. for channels between 3426~4190 MHz, which are of C-band. While Ku band is 10~12 GHz.
So how come Crow and LittleLarry tap into sat with smaller dish?

So would I be able to get Intel 805 (55.5W) from California? I checked on Lyngsat and it lists 55.5 on the Atlantic side but I am not sure if we can get it from California. Any idea's or help would be really appreciated.
Thanks
