can 39 inch dish get european channels?

Someone advised me to get a 39 inch dish to use with my pasat 2500a...(I'm in Toronto area) I have the 18 inch system now with a hh motor....I was advised that with a 39 inch system one can get some european channels that broadcast american ppv channels...is this so. Also, just wondering if with a 39 inch dish i'd be able to get such channels as Rai (Italian). Thanks so much for your prompt reply.

There are some on the ATLANTIC ch list the sat name is PAS3/6 (Ku) at 43.0 West. Your dish should be Ku and if you have a HH mortor you will be able to get alot more sats. The PPV that your frend is talking about is in the ATLATIC list. But its not PPV they are just good movie networks like SKY .

ok...so i should get a 39 inch KU dish...to get this pas3/6 at 43.0w on the atlantic cha list...however I wouldn't get any Europeon channels like the Italian RAI channel...is this what you are saying?
