CableCARDs... anybody have any light on these?

Has anyone forseeen a viable future for the Cable CARD?

From what I have been able to figure out from reading other's posts, Cable cards are not likely to be a player anytime soon (or more likely - ever) First thing is they work for crap right now. Second (and most important) is that the cable is bi-directional and the card has been designed to be "a talker" right from the start (No need for the phone line) it even has it's own IP address....just like your computer........
