hi...... newbie needs help,
I need some help with this.
After getting ecm, I flash my ird with the saved file and then realised when i restreamed my signal was dropping out.I thought it was my lnb at first, until i switched it with a spare one i have , to find the same problem.

I then thought the flash was bad so i flashed again with one i found in the file section, to find then i was getting no signal. i tried another ,same thing. So i went back to the flash that was dropping out ie my saved flash file and still no signal.

I pluged the ird out and took it by a friend who's sytem is working ,signal and everything, still no signal on my ird.

I checked ant. voltage to see if lnb is being powered ,its 20v and Was searching threads but could not find any help there .could some one help me to get signal back. Is this ird done.

For starters What did you flash it with

what signal are you trying to flash BEV or CHARLIE or other

Also what are you using to flash a card, a programmer, direct cable, jtag,
has your receiver been modified? did you have a TSOP installed

was your receiver and/ or card ever marked?

Need to find out this info before we can help you further

first off i notice this thread started in july. oh well, maybe someone else has this no signal problem with the 301, it is very common, so this may help someone in need.
.... it may be the connexant chip failure. they are horrible to have a cold solder joints underneath the max2014 pins. which in turn causes the dreaded no signal problem, sometimes it will have signal for about 5 minutes then go to 0. the chip is located under the square tin, on the board right behind where the sat cable is hooked up. take ird cover off then lift the silver square lid off the tin. it will be the largest chip toward the front of the receiver marked max2014. first off check the voltage at tp 587. voltage should be around .72v-.77v , if it is 2.2v- 2.5v it is most likely cold solder joints on the pins of the max 2014. there are many ways to try to solder back down to the board. i have a little mini blow torch kinda like a cigarette lighter that i use. i just heat the top of the chip up for about 8 or 10 seconds till i can see the solder liquify under the pins of the chip. these mini torches are hard to find. you can also take the board out of the case, then hold a heat sorce like a lighter underneath the chip on the bottom side of the board, it will blacken the board and look crappie underneath. also you can hold a soldering iron right on top of the chip for about 15-20 seconds. also heard of people using a heat gun on the board bottom under the chip with success. you can also use the heat gun on top, but be very careful not to blow the other components away when it heats up. GOOD LUCK
