do Virgin Nagra2 cards come with a preprogrammed CamId or does that get
programed the first time you put the card in the ird?

All Nagra cards (1+2) come with a CamId, It's printed on the back of the card. The Box keys of the receiver are programed to the card when activated.
if " CAM ID "you mean receiver #,virgin cards - all 0's
.receiver will write #'s,when dish send a activating signal

so do you think , the encrypted communication between the card and the ird depends on the camid?
actually here is the question when someone wants to activate a card
and they call dish
does dish ask for the number in the back of the ird or for the camid(number in the back of the card)?
Fairly sure they ask for both Markman.

if they only asked for the ird number then, i would have understood how this "new hack"
works.. but if the Cam ID is asked for as well . it might be that only that specific cam id would activate with this encrypted commands, and that means we must decrypt the commends to be able to clone a sub.

Or ....
Having someone inside of Charlie's corp to activate these on the same account...
Kind of like having a bank's teller on your side to cash bogus checks....Eventually will be caught....

cloning subs is not as bad as it sounds as long as the hack is freeware
whenever charlie gets one sub .. you simply switch to the next .. it could be like p2p thing
if all the hacks we try fail. their is still a way to watch "FREE TV" for people who have broadband Internet :)

I activated online, the card# and ird# have to match.
I saved the receiver ram via jtag before and during the activation process.
Jkeys crashed before I could get all the ram saved. I managed to save 1.6meg
from a 3900 receiver.

Only problem is that there is no clone hack, it's a scam....

yup has to be a scam. if Dish asks for both box # and CamId then the encrypted commands
would only work for that card and that makes cloning without decrypting impossible.
so it has to be fake!

its Fake!
they can't clone a card yet, because if they can clone it they can access it and if they can access it .. they don't need to clone it. :)
