I'm going to agree here big time with the big guys. We will all Know more, when we know. Sure there is the real storng desire to be the first on the block to have something more than 3 of us want to have real bad. Heck guys, that's the human way. With all the heros we have and all the leakers out there, when it is public, it may take 3 days to get it spread everywhere. I don't believe it's in Dave's best interest to drop the stream during the NFL Startup.
Just get a cup of coffee, find a nice chair, add a little Yukon Jack to your Coffee and wait, or read "The Celestine Profecy", it's worthy the time. Software will get here soon enough and since it will be a new release, it will be more of a release canadate, also known as RC-1. The leading edge of anything is only a fraction of a distance away from a bleeding edge. All good things come in time. Even when it is released, 3 guys are going to have to use it for a bit before they can help anyone with it. It's not exactly like we have a national training program, to bring everyone up to speed.

I'm starting to see a pattern here. But my judgment only goes back to last february when I joined a great group of folks site.
I was a site I learned a great deal from thru the people there and met a lot of really good folks too. I won't mention Names, but I'm not sure 4x4 is a name, is it? :cool:
Anyway, I expect this is a ways off. This will be my first what ever it is and if it works out and looks like more fun, I'll get a Dish and IRD For my Birthday, or maybe 3, 2 for testing and one for watching.

You're in denial if you think the HU is not on lifesupport. They have been swapping since April of 2002. That's what, 17 months?

It's best to prepare for the inevitable. Time is certainly not the friend of the HU.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't over by the end of the year.

I really don't think the P4 is the card that will replace everything anyway. Otherwise, why would there be a P5 already?

Don't worry, we have over a year with the HU. For those of you who have been at this game as long as I have (back to the F Cards) you have to agree that there is a definite patern of how things work.

I do tend to agree with you that the HU will be around for a while. Sure I read all the hype on the net but then I also try and take inventory from around here and see quite a few HU subs still plugging along with no indication yet of a swap. I really think there are more HU subs out here than some want to recognize. Only D knows for sure.

Got to agree here.... My sub is just fine.... A few friends of mine have HU subs too.... The only one who got a P4 was the one who kept calling with card problems....
There is still far too much DTV can learn for them to shut it down yet....

Who Knows But I feel the Hu will be here a good while longer & the P4 Hack soon also but maybe a waist of time with the P5 coing ALREADY as they know the 4 has been hacked just not let out yet
