Heres your problem...

Since you changed the ird# and bk's on the tsop, they no longer match the origional ird# and bk's stored on the hard drive. They are "unmaried". In order to get the pvr functions working again, you will need to "remary" the tsop to the hd.

I had to do the same thing, and YES, I did lose everything on the hd. I'm not 100% sure, but i think you will be able to back up the files on the hd, using your pc. This is speculative, but if ppl are able to burn movies onto dvd's that were origionally on the hd of a dvr, it must be possible.

What I did to correct the problem...

1.* removed hd from pvr, and hooked to my pc and used powermax, (attached file) to zero it out.
2. erased flash 1 and flash 2.
3. downloaded vrigin firmware and edited the ird# and bk's using flashedit
4. IMPORTANT when you open the virgin firmware in f.e. you must open it as "moved ird info." Also, when you save as personal dump, this must be selected as well.
5. created virgin eeprom w/ virgin firmware using f.e.
6. reprogramed flash 2 w/ edited firmware and left flash 1 blank
7. re installed zeroed out hd into ird
8. **hook up sat cables and let it repair/marry itself in the stream

Notes...
* powermax will create a boot disk. You then power off pc, install hd, make sure boot disk is in the drive, then turn on pc. Then make sure you have the right hd selected, (not the pc hd) and do either a full zero out, (will take at least 7 hrs.) or a quick zero. I performed the quick zero and it worked just fine.

** depending on your chipset you will have to let it stream update with a n1 or n2 card. Let me explain. the two tsop's will either have "DT" or "GT" printed on them. If you have the "DT" chipset, you can stream update the ird with a n1 cam. However, if you have a "GT" chipset you MUST stream update the ird w/ a n2 cam. My 508 came w/ a blue cam, so therefor, I have a "DT" chipset.

Hope this helps, good luck
