problem sharing service

I have dvr 510 and superdish system. Tried to take it to friends house. He has dish 500. Ofcourse it tells me to do a check swich. After checking it's unable to locate swich. Is there a problem with competability ird to swich? What's up? Thank you.

Did you un-select Superdish when you ran check switch? Sometimes you will need to run check switch a couple or more times, until you see only the 119 and 110 birds.......does your friend have a Dish Pro system?

As a precaution, I always do an empty switch check, No sat connected, When changing over , After ird finds no switch, hook up sat and run "check switch".
A while back it was posted the new receivers would fry a sw21 or 500 if they were set on the superdish Lnb's.
I havent fried any switches so I can say my method works.
