got a hardware question

my brother just subed to dish his ird is a dish311 modDEO1 and we wat to take this ird with us to our fishing camp I have a dish 500 there and I have a dishpro lnfb to replace my legacy with dose this need a switch like the sw21 I have or is it bilt into the dishpro lnfb

All DPXXX model receivers work with any switch setup. It's only the older legacy receivers that have to have a specfic switch to work.

So you can hook that 311 to any 500 setup do a check switch and your good to go. The dishpro has a built in switch no external (sw21 ect) required. No need to mess with your legacy setup if it's a working 500 system. Just hook the 311 up and do a check switch.
