I know that most of the Mods are saying to wait 2 weeks and see what develops, but with pansat 2700a's going for less than $150 it's very tempting to order one now.

Just wondering if anyone can explain the major advantages of waiting for "cardless" solution over the currently available FTA solution.

We may get lucky and be able to use some of the existing equipment we already have like the A2, MC's, AVR's and Atmega's. Already heard rumors of Atmega's....but can't cofirm it. Emu should be just around the corner. So, unless you can't live witout your TV then I would say wait and see what else shakes out of the tree in the next couple weeks.

I've decided to go ahead and buy a FTA since the prices are still so reasonable.
I still am gonna check out what the "cardless" solution is when it finally comes out.
I figure it's always a good idea to have two different methods of testing incase one goes down, and that way I can have another wide open box (hopefully) on a second TV.

btw, why doesn't Milli sell FTA recievers??

that would be sweet if magic one and two cards could be used :)
