A2 QUESTION !!! want to test

Question I was just reading about the A2 cards are we able to use them on any receiver
That has a card slot I thought just the 2700 & 2800 IRD only?? But I see that we could also use them in any other IRD that has a slot for you card
Does the card have to be a (ROM 101 ) card >?
Well I want to start testing with the A2 if I call dish and subscribe will they send me a yellow card to use with my receiver and will that card most likely be a ( ROM 101 )
Or will any card that dish sends out to me will work with the A2 .?
I am very new at this so please all the help welcome …

I believe there was only so many rom 101 cards made & due to the fact that they were compromised, I highly doubt they would send you one of these out. The newer card they send you should still work with the activator however.

what about the IRDS does it have to be 2700 or 2800 or could it be any IRD
because i have a pvr 508 that i want to sub will that work .?

I know a guy that has 2 subs to a 2700s and a 508. I would just call dish and ask. They let him I don't know why you could not. You have to buy the right blocker card for that receiver.
