B*V Nagra2 - Will it be hacked?

I thought I had read on another forum somewhere that B*V won't be hacked - just D*sh. Something to do with not having the keys from B*V? But it sounds as though D*sh hacking is going past just requiring the keys.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether or not the B*V N2 will be hacked as well?

I dont think bev has any rom 101 subscribers and since this latest hack is based on that card we have no bev. If the other cards are broken then we will have bev. Prolly a matter of time..

Considering BEV doesn't use anything under ROM103's, until it is compromised, you probably won't see anything. Rumours abound about the 102 and 103's though, time will tell...(hopefully soon :) )

Actually bev uses 102's as my bev reciever has rom102 rev 240 and the other has s3 card at rev 40

it is based on the 101!..........otherwise u would have bev.....u can't get bev keys as they only use 102 and 103's.....when those are cracked they will get the keys for bev

Actually DVB and FTA are both still up. I'm watching history channel as we speak. The keys have only changed for the Porn. Everything else is still up including PPV

Where do you think the KEYS came from? I think you are the one that needs to do some reading.

Someone was able to extract the keys from ROM101 and then come up with the algorithms to make DVB and FTA work.

Since BEV never issued any ROM101 cards we can't extract their KEYS out. We need to be able to extract KEYS out of a ROM102 and then we will be in business. Until that happens (if ever) no BEV.

i just subbed 1 of my irds with bev i tried to sub another ird with a rom 10 they told me that the card didnt match the ird so i told to purchase a card from them go figure

Well, there are only two places the keys could have come from.

1. From a ROM inside a N2 card (101, 102, etc)

2. Inside Charlies' super secret vault

Which one do you think most likely? And since there are no BEV keys around, it's a safe bet that our wonderful keys didn't come from a ROM102 or later cards.

N1 was not hacked let alone N2 (Not in the true sense of the word), RSA and IDEA keys have not been hacked and probably never will be, don't really need to. The ASIC on DTV was never hacked (all the way back to the f and h cards).

I beg to differ. Dave cards have always used the ASIC that is why all emu that were developed always required a card inserted in a reader. Even the great emulator developed by PGM required you to have the H card connected to the computer so that the ASIC could produce the correct keys.

I was astonished later on when I found out that you could test Charlie without ever using an actual card. This was never possible with Dave, all emulator required the actual card to be present.

I have a fortec ultra an i am waiting for n1 to leave the stream before i download anything Plus i hate intermitant freezing an that seems to be previlant with this bin 279.

It's highly likely that when we're into Charlie we will also be into Bev....regardless of whether or not Bev ever had a rom101. A fix that will work reliably will be based on the rom102 in all likelihood....otherwise they'd still have the ability to shut us out of certain channel groups just like they are with the porn on the DVB/FTA.

That's a big question right now... N2 has more than one set of RSA/IDEA keys and some channels (porn, etc.) were swithed to an unleaked set. So far no fix for it.

So when Dish either rolls these keys or switches all channels over to the unleaked set... is that the end of N2 testing?

Now supposedly there is a dumped N2 bin... time will probably soon reveal the future of N2 testing.

His post lasted about 2 days, then he took it off. Last week he posted that a "cardless" nag2 solution would be availble in a few weeks. Do you think that, PERHAPS, mili has something really good up his sleeve? Mili please don't keep us waiting. Just my humble opinion.

I think you are wrong. How about Europe that came with this hack. Key changed few times and they were able to release a fix within hours.

How the fux do you think all that was leaked? I've been hearing reports of plastic 3m for a month now and your going to tell me it was recently leaked, like leaked within the past week?
I do think we will see more emulation choices very soon.
