Does anyone have the ACTIVATOR 2 Cards and 921 Receivers? Do they or do they NOT work together, answer only if you have tried it please! I have read in one post that one guy did try to only have the card not inserted correctly message on the 921 and 721 receivers, but that is only one person, maybe he had bad A2 cards, anyone else with 721 and even more importantly with 921 receivers, does the A2 card work with it, have you tried it, and what were the results, I would like to see more then one person respond so that I know for a fact what the deal with this setup is, thank you.

Only 2 threads might as well keep them together.

well i answered my own questions as far as the 921 receiver is concerned i barrowed my buddies i enlarged the card slot with a small drill bit, i inserted every possible way the a2 card and receiver shows card not inserted correctly message no matter what, even though the a2 and yellor rom 103 card fits nice and easy after enlarging the slot, so i can confirm that the A2 card will NOT work with teh 921 receiver for SURE! i tried evrything to get it to read but evry time i got the error message.

Sorry it didn't work but now others will know.

I tried everything I could, including that but its not the a2 card, becuse I tried the same one that works fine ion my 6000 and 301 and 501, i also tried moving the card in the slot slighlty, belive me i tried evrything as i only wish it would have worked cause that would have been sweet! but there is no way, i am starting to think that maybe that receiver actully has something that can tell if the card is to think as for example when inserted with a A2 card that it detects it and pops up the error, here is a funny thing though, while i was playing around and trying to get it to work i had my receiver set to channel 300 ehcih is HBO and when the error screen was up, i could hear all of the sound coming from that channle wth no problems, so i am almost sure that maybe there is a way around this. the question is do i want to play with my $500 receiver and open up the card slot and see whats in there that might be doing it? probobly not.

The magic cards did not work well with the 721 or 821. It's because the receiver resets the card 3 or so times durring boot-up. I would bet te A2 has the same problem.
