best transponder to align DTV dish?

Subbed with milli, got a signal but different transponders vary widely in signal strength. Some are 87% some are 42%, food channel perfect reception ,cnn skipping in and out? I'm in Southwestern Ontario if that helps. Like to sub again with milli for my upstairs tv but have to get this issue resolved first. Thanks

Maybe a bigger dish if the old one is aimed right.

Some are always better than others but you are way out of the intended area for a small dish.

Hmmm, using my original Direct tv dish. Sounds like my subscription is way outside my viewing area , if I catch your drift? A bit of a bitch since I would have to buy a "bigger Dish" and my roof pitch isnt the easiest to work on. Are you saying a dishnet/B** 20inch pan would alow better reception on the weaker transponders? Isnt there a transponder number I could align to that would help the rest come up in strength? May have to "rethink" renewing my milli sub in 4 months, because a bunch of channels act like they are getting hashed know what I mean. Northern Ontario sounds like a no go.

I am in North Bay and am having similar problems e.g., channel 296, 228 etc., come and go. I upgraded from a 18" dish to a 24" dish and I can get those missing channels 80% of the time now (previously only 10%). I would love to try a 30"+ dish.

Thanks for that confirmation of my theory skylite, I think milli needs to add this problem to his order form. A standard direct dish wont work in Ontario.

You can get dishes from many online stores or even ebay, a 30" dish w/o the an lnb in about $20-30 and with an lnb around $50 or so. Or go to your local gas station and steal their dish ;) I want one of the rectangle shaped ones they use for the credit cards...

New dish and lnb ,dish is 20inch, results- all transponders above 84% , transponders 18,26,27,28,29,30, and 32 are 0% ??????
