Pansat - The Real Question

I have read all the Pansat posts on 3-4 sites. Everybody is scurring to determine clone or not clone, good chipset / bad chipset, heatsink / heatsink doesn't matter.

The real question - good bin / bad bin

If a new bin is released without the clone virus will it nullify all these issues or is it that it doesn't matter what they do with the bins some chipsets can't handle the N2 decryption.

Are the bin makers working on / going to release a new bin.

IS THE REAL PROBLEM THE CHIPSET OR CLONE KILLING BINS????

i can onnly speak for 10 units i have done my self on monday

all 10 are up and runnin fine


i do know that this has hurt the sales of pansat i have not sold as many over the last few days


Afterspeaking with the VP of pansat i was told that if i flashed a 2500a with the new software from thier site which has a clone kiler in it and it fried they would replace the unit if i payed shiping

so thats what i did i downloaded their file and tested it 1st

I know all the pansats i sell are real they come directly from them

pansat also has a list of trusted dealers they supply to we are tring to get a list to help sort out all the problems

Bottom line a real pansat is being backed up by they company

iIve had previous pansat2500 bins work fine on my clone receiver (pantech) My dealer in Canada says a fix is a week away for my receiver (GREAT NEWS but I wish it was sooner)

ACtually the older PANSAT 2500a models are getting fried. BLacklist is as crooked as they come. Not to be trusted

it doesn't matter if you have a clone or genuine pansat, frying peoples ird is not a good business sense since no one will buy it again. Some people think they own real pansat whether they didnt' know it or not, but who would be buying from a company that does not care about its customer and only care about profit. Profit over customers is not going to get them anywhere. Since the 2500a is not sold anymore, why go to this trouble to have people steer away from their products of the future. They should have concentrated on the new ird. I hear that people with real pansat that are afraid to even put the new bin on cuz they dont' want their to get fried. Can you imagine the thoughts of testing tv with this kinda of panic? just my 2c. For me, i will not buy any more pansat no matter how or what they resolved this situation to be. We can't tell what they would do in the future again.

:) i just uploaded the fortec ultra on my pansat2500a, it works good, i get all the station`s, no porn, but it work great. the only bad thing is the remote no longer work`s on this receiver, so i have to change it using the front panel. i was just watching tv-land, v.o.d, a&e, and more. After my head was spinning reading every post about clones,killer bins,TSOP's,chipsets and so on and so forth.Here's what I have determined.....I have both a clone and a gen-u-wine Pansat 2500a. I did a factory flash on the real one,then put the 251 bin in it the loaded my channel list,and it works very well,some minor freezing from time to time,but very good.I also have a clone that I was afraid to touch. After thinking , what do I have to loose,I then decided to load my clone that has the chipset:
TSOP: 39vf800a-70-4c-ek
STi: STi5518bqc
Here's what I did:
1. I erased the channel list with the remote(knowing it doesn't wipe out the bin)
2. I used a Pansat2500a factory flash and re-flashed the unit.
3. I loaded the 251 bin
4. I then loaded my channel list(did not do another scan).
5. Hooked it up and crossed my fingers
6. so far this is working way better than my real pansat, c_cheerl no freezing and the picture is sharper,crisper and clearer than the real one.

I've been running for over 3 hours now and it hasn't missed a beat.
So for those of you that have clones or don't know what you have, this worked for me. If you decide to do what I've done, you are on your own and I am not responsible if your unit craps out. But it worked for me and I'll update you later on it's performance. figured someones got to try it!

this is EXACTLY why ive maintained a subscription to dtv for over nine years and one with dishnet for about four years now

five years ago or so...if a few of the more popular sites back then had taken a leadership role and urged everyone to have at least a mininum subcription,we might not be in the position in the testing community we are in...ie....most sites being closed....tens of thousands of prosecutions

of course,those that steal ALL THEIR programming and are also self employed would scream bloody murder if anyone.....anyone..were out and out stealing from them

imagine if your local convenience store had half the people that walked thru their doors DAILY stealing from them and never buying anything???

how pissed off would you be???

and some still have the nerve to ask why dtv is still prosecuting people long after they have closed the door on piracy...

I am not stealing anything, I can use the sun the wind the rain for power or what ever, why because it comes on my property if I can find a way to channel this in something I can use then so be it. if dish and dtv does not want me to USE there signal then do not TRUSPASS on MY property.

I own half way through the earth the same should apply to the air. if the wind blows the leaves form anothers property then they are responesible for the clean up on my property, check it out it is the LAW. and IF you are right why is it then that the ARMED FORCES can not fly below 300 ft over my property??? and if I dont own the air around my property then dish and dtv do not own it as well which means if they can use it so can I.

all I am saying is that we are loseing more and more rights every day it isnt right, heres one for ya, seat belt law we MOST wear a seat belt in are own car so we dont get hurt, well what about the motorcycles no protection there and no seat belt law so that is descrimation against the car owners and I have three motorcycles.

Check the law in your state and your homeowners policy. (I know for a fact this is the case in Fla.)

I feel I have the right watch as manny of the channels with multiple receivers if I choose. If they disagree, then charge me by the channel so I'm not paying for all the crap I'm not interested in.

well I dont live in a trailer in the trailer park that you live in. I live in a 150,000 home on 245 acres running 125 head of cattle I pay more in taxes then you will ever earn in your pissy ass life. so speak when you are spoken to.

type-o, thanks have big fingers sometimes hit the wrong key, all I am saying is if the law applys to me it should apply to dish and dtv, if I dont want the signal on my property then they should keep if off. whats fair for one is fair for all. if I am breaking the law then they are too.
