510 problem

got a buddy's 510. from what i can see, its got a vid mod and lock. the problem is, when i watch it, it runs fine for about 10 minutes, then it turns off and won't turn back on for about an hour, even if i unplug it and plug it back in. fan in the back runs fine. not sure what other info is necessary. anyone help?

Check to make sure you didn't fat solder something. Also check all connections to make sure they are right. It might be the power supply cutting out since it has like 10 outputs varying in voltage you might try a different power supply. The fan might be on say 5 volts and something is causing the power supply to cut out on like 12 volts but the fan would keep going. If its not the power supply try getting rid of the lock. I built several and that might be your problem since some of the tsop data has been moved on a 510 it might be corrupting it.

i had one acting like yours had the center wire from switch for vidmod come loose
check that maybe it got bad connection
