Hello guy,
I have been reserching the best method of doing the NOZKT mod for the 430rga receiver. I found a few different methods. I was wondering what the prefered method is? This receiver has an M29W320DB flash chip in it. I read at unwink that there are some issues with this chip not writing sometimes.
I have done the 420,s and 222's, but not this one. I just want to get my info right before I try this one.
thanks

read this thread:

it has a pic of how I connect ALL 430/431/450's the RGA is slightly different as there is one more tiny pad where there are 8 shown, the 9th pad connects to the pad where the trace can be cut, and you can actually cut the trace between that 9th pad and the one that it runs to above it. so you don't have to remove the board.
The STM29W does not have to be unlocked, sector 31 might not erase, but it will still program fine, you may get an error, when writing, at about 98% but just ignore it the parts that need to be changed will be changed.

The M29W chip requires jkeys 2.9.9 or 2.9.10, don't use 2.0.1 like a 420.......

Thanks skinerd. I will give this a try on Monday, I'll let you know how I made out.
One more thing... for write protecting after flashing. Do you simply disconnect the jumper at 3.3v and connect it to ground?

Skinerd,
Wow, that procedure is easy. No messing around in dev. panel.
Works flawlessly. If only the jtag port was a little bigger, the 430's would be too easy.
Thanks for the great info.

Glad it worked for you, never failed me.........
I have a magnifying lamp for doing the jtag hookup, makes all the difference, I could not do them without it.
