do i need to load a channel list or can i scan the sats . using legacy lnb for 119 and 110. someone said you need a channel list other say just do ascan on the sats .thanks

Any scan will produce a new channel list in the receiver and erase what list if any taht is already there. If no list is there, a blind scan is the best. Once the list is produced, you can edit it to your satisfaction.

A scan will not erase the channel list already in the receiver, it will add new channels which are not in the original list.

You can try both way, scan or channel list. And decide which one work best for you. It takes less than a minute to load a channel list. You can re-load another list easy.
