You might have to take CPU & TSOP W/E off the m/b and then update....put resistor back as well..if you don't have original you can always get a 33.0 ohm -1/4 watt normal res and install then de-install after upgrade.

It worked. I just removed wires from dl tied then together and got update. Thanks for the help

I am having the same problem,could you explain your method,if i understand it right you removed two wires from the d/lock end,not the main brd.-then wired them together while still attached to the brd.and were able to take the update? Those wires were cpu/we and tsop/we?

What he has done is to keep the circuit continuous and allow the update...he then undoes the wires and solders back on...you are correct in your thinking.
