Hey,
Okay, here is the situation..
Bought a DP 301-13 last year off of ebay, got it,.
It's has 1 TSOP.. Someone told me that I would need to get it Vid-Moded, so it can accept blue cards - so got it serviced so Blue (n1) cards could work..
now.. I have my yellow card. and am trying to sub with this reciever (came with ird when I bought it) DishNet accepted it, however.. keeping getting "Card not authorized to view this ...." on all subed channels..
told DishNet, and they said they can "replace the IRD".. but the IRD that I have is "modified with chips and etc.) so can't do that..
So, What I want to do is completey reprogram the entire IRD with a clean Virgin TSOP and/or EEPROM, so it can now clearly read the yellow card.
so, what should i do?
What file do I need"
-- I know how to use WALL 2.0 to read and program TSOP and etc.
Need a HUGH DIRECTION-
thanks - Adam

Neither the vid mod or the internal jtag should be causing you problems. There is no reason to reverse the vid mod. Sounds to me like you just need to update your firmware or dishnet didn't really activate your system. I believe current firmware for the single tsop 301 is P207. What firmware is your receiver at? For sure there is no reason to go back to virgin firmware. Make sure you leave the vid mod turned off. You are running a N2 (yellow) rom correct?

hey jt.
i am at ver p205 , and am running a Yellow N2 Access Card.. what else can I try.. since dishnet is suggessting that they send me a new reciever and exchange this (but this is MODIFIED IRD..u know!!!)
any other suggestions, please ?
Two suggestions. First, turn off your receiver with the remote, with the sat in still plugged in. You don't have a tsop lock on that IRD do you? If you don't, within about 5 minutes you should see the green light start blinking in about 3 second intervals. Wait until it stops blinking, (don't touch your receiver until the light stops blinking!) then turn your receiver back on. This should take less than 15 minutes total. Then check your system info. You should now be at P207. Once you've got the current firmware, then run a switch check. Make sure your receiver properly identifies your switch, what ever it may be. You should be good to go after completing the firmware update and the switch check. Most likely your only problem is your firmware is outdated.
On another note, why would you send your receiver to DishNet? Your not leasing that unit are you? That IRD should be your property to do what ever you wish with. No reason to send it to 'the enemy'.
