hey,
in a previous thread.. u recommended that I remove the Vid-mod and then erase sa49
or do u mean remove the vidmod by erasing sa49 ?
i hope it's the 2nd option since I can'not perform any Physical work (hardware)
thanks,
adam

The vid mod is only needed for the old hacking methods like blue cards and magic, ATMega
IT may be that it will be needed for a new N2 hack so if you cannot remove it hang on and wait and see.
It is a physical change to the IRD so a new TSOP will not make any difference.
Erasing SA 49 just makes the ird load the newest P-xxx to the TSOP it does not effect any physical changes like a vid mod where wires are cut and inserted.

Has this reciever been tampered with by you or anyone else?
If it has I think you need the original flash to get it going again. I had the same problem. I had to flash with exact match for the card to work.

Run Jkeys on the unit. Make sure it the right one for the single TSOP DP301. Follow the prompts. When you get into the programming mode, drop down the menu in the sector programming(should show"Full" in the window), to view a list. Scroll down to SA49, and erase it three times. Close Jkeys, shut everything off, disconnect Jtag cable, connect sat cable first, then plug IRD in, and it should start streamming(IRD light blinking on and off). When it's finnished, it should be updated to the new firmware. All this should work providing you have your Vidmod switch turned off, and if you have a TSOP lock, it should be turned off as well. Good luck, and post your results.
