I had a 2700 doing the exact same thing once. DN though not bev. I tried everything I could think of never did get it fixed. It's still sitting in a closet.
I came to the conclusion it had a fault somewhere in the electronics. As reliable as they are sometimes they do fail. And since Charlie is the only one who has parts and detailed diagrams he is the only one that can fix something like that. Unfortuntly that's not a option.

I have a schematic for the receiver. I just need someone to point me in the right direction. It would be nice to know what part of the circuit controls the locking of the signal or where the locking circuit is.
That much I know. It's a combination of the firmware on the TSOP, Micro (reads the firmware and gives the actual commands to the electronics), and Tuner of the receiver. I'd start with the tuner and work my way back.

Physical damage is not a requirement for a bad component. It just makes finding the problem a hell of a lot eaiser. *grin*
