im just curious if anyone has taken them up on this offer and actually sent their receiver in for repair??

No, but I read in another forum that they check it and if they consider that the failure is for uploading wrong software, they will charge $50.00, if they find that the receiver is a CLONE, they will confiscate it. If they get a 2500A that REALLY got bad for no reason, they send back a 2700. In any of those cases you will pay them the $50.00 bucks!!! (S & H).
