a guy at work switched over to Dish and he is planning on giving me his 2 DTV dishes and 2 IRDs. So when i get them i need to check the card serial number to see if its 0008 or higher, correct. Also need to check to see if it goes 721 or 745? If its higher than 0008 and doesnt go 721/745 what are my options. Been out of DTV for a while.

If it doesnt meet the requirements to get activated, you can purchase one from Mili.

Read the Sticky Mili made. By reading your post, you are confused on what you are suppose to look for on your screen.

so it needs to read 711 or 726

If your going to subscribe, it does not matter, DTV will make you buy new cards.
