I had my Coolsat running with a DP500 dish. It worked perfectly.

Now I'm trying to get it to run with my Fortec 36" dish wih Staab motor. I made sure that the mast was securely mounted and plumb (checked it with a level 10 times!). The dish mounting is set according to Staab's directions "P-(45deg-elevation)" which equals to 38.5 degrees (I'm in the Chicago, IL area). I have my 4x1 diseqc switch in between my reciever and motor. I am able to control my motor manually so I know that the connection between the LNB and motor is correct.

On the reciever setup, I select AMC3 (which is my southern most satellite). I have a Fortec Single,Universal LNB (9750-10600 frequency). I have LNB power "on", DiSEqc at "1.0", and "port 1". I have loaded several different channel lists; even reset the reciever and used the default Coolsat channel list. When I do a "Blind Scan" on that satellite I don't get a signal reading. I have moved the dish both manually and using the manual motor control. But no matter what I do I can't pick any signals at all.

Can someone offer some advice? TIA.

Isn't that setting for a DP500 dish? I tried it anyway and still nothing. What should the switch setting be for a Single Universal LNB? 9750/10600 is what I'm using. The mast is plumb. I'm using what I believe is a correct channel list with Ku frequencies. Can someone offer some help? I'm looking through sadoun right now but no luck. Thanks.

I'm getting a signal stength of 78-82%, but a Quality reading only as high as 7%. What does this mean exactly? Thanks.
