only getting one ppv

i am only getting one ppv and one show time with a total of 220 channels,how do i get the rest of the ppv's and nfl channels.i am using coolstat4000_134p_20050915 and Master_fl_channel_List.what am i doing wrong.

i did a blind search,how many ppv channels am i supposed to get,before i used coolsat i got ppv from channels 501 too 538, now i get ten and most of them are duplicate.if i was to delete everything and start over,in what order should i install the channel list and bin.channel list first or last or does it matter

U can just delete all the channel and do a sat. scan. No need to reload a new bin,It should work...

Are you pointed at the 110 bird?

It sounds like you're pointed at the 119, which only has 1 ppv channel. If that's the case, that is all you will get, until you move your dish.

119's great for "regular" tv, but useless for ppv.

Yeah, Lyngsat is great for these FTA boxes....well, testing in general I suppose.
I get all the ppv's with a CoolsatPro 4000, running the p134 flash.

Do you get HBO Comedy? 'Cause if you don't, then you're not getting the 110 bird.

Also, with the Coolsat, one problem I had was that I had to set both the Dish Settings, and motorized settings to

Ghengis I am not motorized.I get HBO comedy no problem.I am using a super dish with 3 lnb and getting signals on all, but I can't get a signal with freq. set at 11.250 It has to be set at 11.200 on 110 and 119. Could this be the problem?

Sounds like your setup. If your using a DP34 on that SD then see this thread for some good info on setting up a DP34 on FTA.

You will also need a DP channel list. A regular or legacy channel list on a FTA using a DP switch setup will give you spotty reception at best. To confirm this is the problem change the guide to all after a blind scan on all sats. If the satellite setup is correct before the blind scan all the PPV will show just not in the correct channel order for DN.

I think a lot of confusion is caused by not knowing how this channel guide stuff works.

A channel guide is just a reordering of the channels found in a blind scan of all sats hooked up to your FTA receiver. A blind scan (or any scan for that matter) finds all channels comming from the sat being scanned then numbers and lables them in the order found. This will vary by switch type eg DP switch vs Diseqc. While both switch types work about the same the number and order of transponders are seen differently by the FTA receiver depending on the type of switch used.

So as long as the satellite setups are correct for the type of switch used a blind scan will find all channels and transponders on the sat's connected up. This will show up in the Satellite List as:

All = All channels from all sats hooked up in what seems random order
ECHO 7/Ku = All channels from 119
ECHO 8.6/Ku = All channels from 110

Last and added by you is usually labled by defalt:

EchoStar Package = Unlike a scaned list this is a created list based on the Echo ordering of channels. Basically you reorder the first scanned guides to Echo's channel numbering order. I think this is where the confusion comes in. This guide unlike the scanned guide must match the switch. Since DP and Diseqc switches number the transponders in different orders.

So if your missing channels in the EchoStar Package Satellite List then check for those channels in the All list. If in the All list your EchoStar Package list is the problem. In most cases it's just a matter of loading a DP list instead of a Diseqc list or vice versa.

thats exactly what i am getting in so.florida,if i do a factory reset do i have to load a new bin and channel list.i tried a blind search and the same thing only two ppv channels.
could someone who gets all the ppv's tell me what settings you are using plus bin and channel list.

Those PPV's are on the 119, the rest are on the 110 bird.

You have something wrong with your setup, are you getting any 110 channels....disconnect all sats except the 110 and see if you have programming....

What are you using....Superdish with DP-34?

i am using a dishpro500.i get channels on 110.if i do a factory reset i have to load up a new bin a channel list correct.
i am thinking i have something wrong in dish settings or somewhere else.where can i find the right settings.thanks

p.s....what number channels are ppv's listed as,so i can check it quicker.are they all in a group or are they spred out.

Download channel master......then open your channel list with channel master, click on 110 or 119 sats and it will show you what channels are on each sat, the transponder they are on.....

Make sure you using the channel list that matches your lnb's, if you have legacy lnb's use a legacy channel list, if dish pro lnb's, you need a dish pro channel list...

What kind of lnb's do your have gunsmoke....A DP-Twin....? Your not using a diseqc switch are you?

I was having the same problem. I did a factory reset and everything worked. I got all channels now

I loaded a channel list I found in the file section. Only some of the channels worked. About half. All the channel numbers were missed up. I tried just about everything I could think of. I finally gave up and I was going to start from scrach. I did a factory reset and everything worked fine. Channels were in the right order and I am getting all the channels (well at least I think I am). So I guess to answer your question at least for me doing a factory reset did not restore it to new. I think it just reset the channel information. I did do a blind scan (about 5 times) before I did the factory reset---I don't know if that makes a difference. But now that it is working I am leaving it alone :>) Hopes this helps you.

Let't try this first. Go to Echo 7 and check for TP. #1 . U shouldn't get any signal, next go to TP#2 . U should get signal , if everything correct than U know for sure U on Echo 7.That'll explain why U don't get lot of ppv, Cause' most of them are on 110. :rolleyes:

Yes, after that (you know that now) upload the factory bin and then the most recent working bin, do a Scan ALL (better one bird at the time, without the switch), then your recent channel list (remember DN is moving channels around) and if you have no more issues, your channels should be there.

after i hooked reciver up it is only showing one satellite 119,what happened to 110,i no it's there cause i had it before.thanks

ok thanks,i got it.when i went to menu in dish settings under 119 i had all green good connection,when i went to 110 i did not see any color no connection.
then i started to scrool down to LNB freq. sat 119 was 112.50 and 110 was 112.50.
i had to change 110 to 10.000 and now i get everything,ppv's,porn and alot of locals.
