Can i still put a p4 or p5 card into a dtv rec and get ppv?

Back in the days of hu we could take a receiver and select ppv movies until the card got full without a subscrition....can we still do that with p4 and p5.I have around 250 virgin p4 and p5's....could watch a lot of movies if you say yes?
I know we cant erase them or get into the card... but can we get them?

You can't watch ANYTHING but the info channels untill the card is activated by Dave.

since you have 250 of them...why arent you experimenting with a few of them instead of asking about it?

personally....i think they blacklist all virgin cards after they have been sent out a few months yet not activated...youve obviously had these cards awhile as they dont even send cards with receivers any longer.....buy a new unit now...they fedex your cards to you once they have your credit card info on file and activation account lined up

guess they got tired of everyone bragging how they used to go to wally world or ratshack and cash and carry them away for $50

I got three P4's with 303 receivers at a garage sale for $10 and they say call ext 721 and I just bought A Lot Like Love ppv movie. They aren't virgin cards and I have the recievers they came with. It works for now till I buy em all up. I am still on my first of the three receivers, once this one is done I'll use the next one. There might be a way to make a virgin card do this. I remember back when I was able to run a call ex 711 card with some script and then it changed to call 721 and then I was able to buy the ppv's, but someone else pointed out you could do the same thing with the remote somehow but I don't know for sure at this point how to do it with the remote.

Not true, if you been a good customer, and they let you order PPV with your remote, you can order that month, fill up the card, call dtv, tell them your card is recieving a 744, 721, 711 (whatever number you want) and they will send you a new card for free. You can get away with it 3 maybe 4 times before they cut you off make you buy the card and not allow you to buy PPV unless you call in. When they do, the party is over.

i have a previously subbed p4 that my friend gave me. it works for ppv movie, at least until i fill up the card's allowance. curious how much cap it has with ppv order within the card? $300 worth?

If you have good customer credit, they give you 249.49 or someting like that, but you only get 24 chances, so it best to order $29.99, $39.99, etc. because at $3.99 a movie x 24=$96.00
