I don't know if anyone here is able to help me with this, but I'll try. I bought an Audi Navigation system RNS-E from someone in Europe, but that system doesn't have the security code attached. That person who sold it didn't know what code was. I know the only way (official way) is to go to a dealer. However, I would like not to go there, since I don't have the original proof of ownership.

So, I know the code can be found in the eeprom dump. I was wondering if anyone here, in these forums have any knowledge about it and have done it. Please let me know.

Some Europeans have given up on Navigation systems because they get stolen faster than they can buy new ones.
IF the seller can't supply you with the code number, than you can be sure that your set is stolen. Audi have a record of all reported stolen Navis in their data base and if your's is listed you will be asked to return it to the rightful owner at your expense. :(
