Hi, I am in Puerto Rico and the Directv service that is here is DTV LA. Today someone came to me and told that there was a hack for Directv LA, for $600 I will get a "fixed" ird, I told him that I was going to do a research and then decide.
Does anybody know if there is such hack?

If you are willing to pay 600 dollars for DTV...

Give it to Mili. That would be 2.5 years of DTV service from him.

Even if he gave Mili his 600 dollars, it wouldnt get him DTV, he's in Puerto Rico. He's asking about DTV LA = DirecTv Latino = GLA.

Chavo, I've heard that the gx28 has been hacked, but not seen it myself, I am also interested as I have some GLA systems here.

That seems like a lot of money. When the old GLA cards were used all you did was open the card and write an image to them with wildthing took all of 2 minuets.

IMHO

Those were the days, open hole 9, fixbingla, 3m, close hole 9....that was the gx15, the newer gx28 is like the p4/p5, no public software/fixes. They were burning a hole with a laser but everything is very secretive.

You people should buy a FTA receiver!! Your talking about spending $600 for what? A good FTA receiver Pansat 2700A cost's around $ 200 and let me tell you everything has been cracked (wide open) PPV & PORN. I have 2 FTA's and they are EASYIER too load than the old HU's or H's use too be.

j43w1, thats fine when you live in the USA, the originator of the thread stated he lives in Puerto Rico, Charlies footprint doesnt get down there, so he was asking about a hack for the only system that he has access to, i.e. dtv latino (not to be confused with the Spanish package that come with dtv USA). DTV Latino is a completly different system, uses a different satellite and different IRD's and lnb's than dtv USA does. I am sure if the dish signal got that far down he would be happy to use a fta.

FYI I live in Mexico, southern Baja California, I have to use a 1.8m dish to get dtv or dish, and on the dish 110 I dont get all the available channels.

I personally would not spend 600.00 on a hack, but when you live out in the sticks and thats all you've got, it may not seem like that much if you get good tv. The other comments dont apply as chavo_fan cant use fta down there !!
