Al7bar Changes....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello all...
I would like to address all our members to the future of al7bar.tk. Al7bar.tk has been my home for some 21 months and has been a GREAT home! I have been able to deal with scores of people, online, via telephone and in person and have gained a mountain of knowledge and some great friends! It has come time in my life to make some changes in my life and sadly I must say I must leave al7bar.tk (soon) as management to spend more time with my family and have more personal time. With this being said al7bar will be changing hands come November 1, 2006.

I believe al7bar.tk will continue its course to be a great site and a great location for much knowledge. The people taking over the mangement have little to no intention of changing al7bar.tk and or its present moderators. As we all know many things make a great site and one important item "moderators" is very important as I believe it best they continue here. As the moderators of this site are important to me here on the site and off the site, I congradulate them all on well done work and am honored to be friends with them all.

The new admin will be using the name "free4all" and I believe he will do a fine job.

I will leave this thread open as long as possible.

Thank you all and I wish you all the best and hope to see you all on the forums (just as a citizen) even after the transfer.

I would also like to make it known that "TheDSSGuy" was cut from al7bar by me, due to his lack of trust. TDG was one of the first to find out as I thought I could trust him, and within 24 hours was very public. He also feels the need to try and gain from the transfer by stating information elsewhere.

My attorneys have pushed me to remove him from this site for many months due to his lack of control and security not only for himself but also the people of this site, with wild accusations and blind trust of many peoples rumors, sayings and what not.

As far as I have been notified, all moderators on the site plan to continue here even after the transfer.

yea well..if this is all true..i have a suspicion "his attorneys" might also have advised him to get rid of the site before too much longer......sometimes you have to read between the lines
it does "appear" however that most everyone in the testing community now has a definate negative opinion of tdg...well..except for those nutzlickers over at the hashfu site
he earned it though, cant deny that!

I wonder if he meant November 01, 2005, not November 01, 2006.

Either way, it's good to know these guys already have atty's on retainer. Being based out of Houston, TX, they're going to need them, and probably sooner than later.

Many will probably not believe me when I explain this, but this is the way it is...

When the word came that the site was going to be changing hands, I was unsure as to the future of the site and removed my most questionable threads (from a legal standpoint). Unfortunately (and unintentionally), just about all of my FAQs, guides, etc. are now history. This is upsetting for me because I'm unable to re-post many of these files on any site because they simply no longer exist. Alot of hard work is now gone. $hit happens. All I can do is start over and redo as many of them as I can.

HERE'S MORE

Lots of rumors, no deaths

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like Dipper and others, there have been lots of rumors regarding my whereabouts and intentions. Let me assure all that this place is home. I have been invited to a couple of other sites and have made no moves. I have participated with Blacklist at futurefta since it started with full support from this site. It was known that I was helping them as I could.

I try to help folks here and take a great pride in the FAMILY of moderators. Some of them are moderators because I recommended them. I am a moderator/supermoderator because I was also recommended and approached about my interest a year ago. I was proud to step up. I also take great pride -- even more pride -- in the moderators that I have recommended and seen become full family members. Since moving into a leadership role there have been lots of changes and tremendous growth. It has been fun and I see no reason for it to stop.

It is a physical law that without change there will never be any improvement. That doesn't mean that change for change's sake will always result in improvement, but it means that I intend to give the change a full opportunity. If it gets better, we all win. If it stays the same, we don't lose a thing. If it goes downhill, I will evaluate the situation at that time.

In the meantime, I intend to continue as a member of the family. Many of you don't know that there is a private section of the forum for the moderators where "backroom" matters are discussed. It is also the most fun on the entire forum! We are always on each other with jabs and snide comments. It is just like your brother -- we are FAMILY. I see no reason to change that just because there's a new step-parent. It will be our responsibility to be leaders for our new leader.

Thick as theives

scammers and stolen sites

I recommend staying away from there.

Somethings are not what they are advertised to be, same with claimed 'changes in management'

How many times have you seen Circle K, U-tote-em, 7-11 and such change names and be owned by the same people.

Same goes for the Oil Companies, change the name, change the public image, but still the same crooks running things.

Government's too LOL
