I know DP twin lnbs work for FTA's. But, will DPP (Dish pro plus) twins work too? Please, just a yes or no answer if it will work.
Also, it's a little weird b/c there are three satellite wiring connection on the lnb (and it's considered a twin). What gives?

Don`t know if it will work with FTA`s. It is twin because it has 2 outputs. The extra connection is for the 3rd sat input.

Yeah I don't know there... One way to find out, take a stab at it and let us know :) If not just order a new LNB, they have come down in price a good amount.

What sucks is that I purchased the DPP on egay... specifically for FTA use. The seller failed to mention the lnb was "Plus."
Now, I am waiting to receive my FTA receiver, DG 7000 in the mail. So, I can't test it yet.
Does anyone know?

yes it works but not the best in my opinion
i just set diseqc setting correct 119 on 1 and 110 on 2
scan both sats and it work .. funny thing though diseqc 1 didnt show a signal but diseqc 2 does .. i dont isif the bought need to be on same setting for the lnb
but it work for my in laws with the normal setting for dish pro
i did notice during a scan of 119 that some of 110 stuff came thru also just try different setting to see which give the most channels .. i try to get one today to test 100% and post results

I still haven't received my receiver yet. So, I cannot test yet. But, I was thinking about reselling the Dish pro PLUS twin lnb and buying a Dish Pro twin lnb.
However, I am not sure if I should... that is, if DPP works, I would be wasting time and money. But, if it doesn't I'll be wasting time and money...
Does anyone know, FOR SURE, if Dish Pro "PLUS" twin lnbs work? Thanks in advance!!!

It sounds like you have one of the new dish pro's they are installing now with new systems.. If i understand it correctly, it has 2 outputs for 2 ird's, and an input for a local off air antenna that mounts on the back side of the dish and a bulit in multiplexor that combines the normal sat signal with the local antenna to send to both ird.s, and from what i am hearing it is not compatable with fta.. Seems it will work somewhat with a couple of fta ird's, but noe even well with those few..
I dont think the dish pro plus wirks with fta.It has a built in switch that is different than the others that have built in switches.

dish 1000 has 110 119 129 or 105 depending on your location. ddp lnb has 3 connections 2 for the 110 119 i use these for the new dual tuners, the 3 rd connection i use it to install a dish 300 for the 61.5, here where i live a few religuos channels and hd are on there
