HELP! Good Level, No Quality Fortec Star Ultra

Im using a DTV dish and a fortec Star Lifetime Ultra, im tring to get the echo 7 and echo 6,8 satelites i was told that i point it at the same location as my DTV. thats what i did on my DTV Reciever i get perfect signal(used it just to test) and on the fortec i get 70% level and 0% quality. the reciever already has the stations downloaded on it. because it was all set up when i bought it. all i had to do was plug it in. can someone please help me i am new and don't understand much of the terminology either.

You need to either point it at 110 or 119 your DTV dish will work but not if its pointed to DTV. You are not looking for DTV you are looking for Dish Net.

trying to re-program my fortec ultra with stb or megasat but i keep getting "can't open serial port", last error: access is denied. What can I do?

Never mind, had to log in as admin.

Down loaded new software but cannot scan channels. Says poor signal strength, but my sub works fine. What gives?
