Can only get 110 to work...

Hi,

I followed smilingjack's sticky on mytheatre (awesome btw). But can only get 110 sat.

I'm using a Skystar 2 pci card with dish500 dish & digiwave 4x1 diSEqC 2.0 switch.

I used a dishnet 301 rec. to fine tune the signal and I get > 90% signal on transponder 11 for 119 sat & about 75% singal on 110 sat.

I have 110 sat connected to LNB1 on DiSEqC & 119 connected to LNB2. Did the same in the Mytheatre setup (commited lnb etc...).

During tp scan i don't get any errors, a couple of tp dont have channels(which according to the guide is normal). (total channels found is 1081)

I think the problem is mytheatre not being able to switch to 119 sat when selecting channels. Am i using the right DiSEqC switch? or will the hardware not support 2 sats????

Have you tried it without the switch? I don't use a switchbut I'm using the Dishpro twin.

No, not yet, was gonna try that next.

Wanted to see if someone had a similar problem, just easier to change the hardware/software setup first then to go back out again and take the lnbs off dish(to run single cable).

Tryed 119 sat on its own and it works, didn't make any changes to software (which is weird). figured i would have to change the settings to simple lnb and redo the scan...

STILL the same PROBLEM though, can get either sat to work but not both.

Could be a bad switch. Alot of that going around. If you said it was a Kworld card then I'd have known it was the card. They are having alot of problems switching. I don't know much about the Skystar. Could be the same problem as the kworls is having.
Have you tried other forums? A good one is DVBN.happysat.org. There are card specific and general forums over there.

I haven't tried any other sites yet, but that's also good idea.

110 has been bad for signals last couple of days in CAN don't know why but best i can get lately is about 55% which is odd because we general get 75-80 % if thats any help!!

that's backward's to ever post I'v ever seen,,,,,,should be the 119 to LNB-1 ...110-to LNB2....could be that simple......

All you need for the Kworld card is a 22khz DTV switch ...ebay sell's them for $9.50....ton's in stock.....ya it is that simple..LoL....

Hi, just like to tell everyone that mytheatre works fine now... i can switch from one sat to another.

I was going to replace the switch, but someone suggested trying dream dvb. Which was an easy setup too (maybe easier then mytheatre) and had no problems switching between sats.

So that ruled out hardware, i uninstalled/reinstalled mytheatre and did a manual tp scan. I added the plugins last (s2, softcam, myepg, dvbepg etc...)

Which worked great !

BTW: Dreamdvb is a great program too, couldn't get newer epg working though.
Progdvb doesn't see my skystar 2 card (think u have to use an older driver).
& RitzDVB crashes quite a bit (think it's filter related).

Nexus, 1GHz, 384.

Used to get all channels from 119. Now getting only some of them. Scanning is very inconsistant. Sometimes finds 60, 100, etc. Should i point the dish to 110?
Interesting thing is that sometimes i can watch one channel, but after switching to another channel just for a second, i cannot get back that first one. Any thoughts?
