From what I understand, the latest rumours are that the Atmega 128 is working on N2. I have not seen or heard any solid proof of that as of yet but it is my impression that all one has to do is change their IRD's TSOP and write a new PFG file to their Atmega. There are files in the Atmega download section but I don't know if they are there for decoration or not. Why would someone upload garbage to this site if it doesn't work is beyond me.
Is my theory correct and has anyone tried using these files? There are some websites that claim that they have a hack for the Atmega but these retailers require your IRD to be sent in for modification. To add, the cost is rediculous.
Come on guys, enough is enough. Lets get rolling with this so we can all start spanking to the Fantasy channel once again.
For those that are uploading, submit a readme file so we know what to do with your stuff.

The BS that floats during these times is unreal. It is extremely doubtful that a stock AT128 can actually do the job. It is fast enough, but, most likely, lacks the ram (only 4k EE) and the new instruction sets needed for the extra data handling. The technical description of the Syndrome card, is it is using a DSP (digital signal processor)(more ram, and faster) instead of a microcontroller like the Atmega. Just about anything is possible in electronics, but it becomes a $$ vs reality issue allot of the times. I am hopeful, Atemga's will have a mod to do the job, but the cost effective (time and parts) aspect may prove un-realistic.

If everything you're saying is true, then why do people have to be assholes and pretend to be superheroes? If it works, great..........if it doesn't, don't bullshit and let's move on.
There is a site that will gladly take your money. Thay are located in Maple, Ontario, Canada. Check out what they have to say. Bullshitting scammers? I want to beleive what they are claiming.

$ 150 for a 20 ATMega ? For 3 months, maybe.
And send your card and IRD to someone accused of selling cards sent in for programming (see satscams)
Let me know I will look for them on E-Bay
Wait or course.

a c/p from satscam
Tomico aranged and sent us an atmega128 to test from Canadiandss.com.
first off we received it several days ago, so we must apologize to Tomico and canadiandss/satgroup for the delay, it had nothing to do with their product.
currently the Atmega128 supports:
2700/2800
4900
DP301-2
DP301-10
DP301-13
I had a 508 and a DP7200 (yes I like my Tivo) which are not yet supported.
A friend had a 4900 i was able to borrow and use for this test, after sleepless nights of messing with it, determined the receiver was faulty as the jtag was not recognizing it
Got my hands on a 2700 the following day, messed with that, same problem
Low and behold buffered jtag was not powering up – damn tiny wires to the batteries broke off, guess I should of checked that first
Anyhow flashed up the epprom/tsop on the 2700 as per directions given on a disc, inserted atmega, powered up the receiver and waited 5 mins before plugging in the sat cable, and watching TV, it really was simple, my lack of checking the obvious first led to headaches.
But have to confirm everything working as stated.
will be changing receivers to the 4900, i'm sure i'll have no problems getting it to work this time around
This is from an administrator just thought i would post not sure if it is here already or not

Stop and think why do you think this tread is in the bullshit section? Because the atmega128 works in the N2 stream I have two cards wide open on 2700 IRD’s. The Problem is knowing where to get your cards program and the correct BIN file to modifying the TSOP. You don’t have to buy new cards for testing the atmega128 works!!!

It works, but it's a clone. NO PPV, NO PORN.

Actually the PPV & Porn work... They hack the tiers to wide open... But the group that is making them is controlling everything... Just like in the early clone cards... They can esealy put exp. dates on the tiers or ppv strings & make u spend 150 bucks at least every 3 Months...
And even if those Atmegas get dump by a 3rd party & release we will need to be able to change the CAMID to another one in all the places in both the Atmega & FW files to be able to keep it up...
Best case scenario will be for someone to figure out how they where able to make a clone hybrid.... Put all the sub's info on the FW is more easy... Dump what is needed & edite the tiers in it to all open...
Just like PC2IRD Emultion... Atmega soft. should be availabe to who ever have those cards.... Or u should at least be able to flash it u'r self... Sending u'r cards & IRD's is retarted....
Just my 2 cents...

Dumping the card program and eeprom flash isn’t the issue; a modified MC loader does the trick. Its decrypting the data.

hi Troy...free advertising is great isnt it?
easy there happy, im not the one who posted the link.
i just get a little ticked when people trash others without investigating if thier claims are true.
Yes i happen to know troy for some time and he never steared me wrong.
Theres alway A boatload of people in his store which has been there through every cross provincial raid for years.
He also never closed his doors during these times
i could care less if anyone buys anything from him
again no where in my post have i mentioned the name of his store or posted a link
just the means to prove or disprove if he is legit
truth of the matter is i for one have not seen this atmega working but if he is selling them i for one believe its for real

According to the guys at dss toy box you can send them one of your atmegas and they'll program and send it back to you for $119. Think I'll wait, but hey for you guys who have a jones on for this...

I only have the jones for this thing to get dump and get a epp out of it for PC2IRD emulation... I would not buy or pay for his crap with a ten foot pole of C-Notes...

blueman1955, if you happen to have a J-TAG sitting around you should do a dump of the TSOP. I am looking for some TSOP information on the atmega mod.

The Atmega 128 fix is real !, look what Satscams says :
"The old and trusted Atmega 128 board with private software, we received it from canadiandss.com, installing was a snap, and it worked perfectly, unfortunately we are down with it right now, and have arranged to have it fixed and for them to reprogram an HU loader so we can update it ourselves. there is a fix available for it and it is working, but we have not updated ours yet. being able to fix it yourself will end the downtime of arranging schedules to find time arrange fixes."

Maybe it's just me but all of these "Fixes" (rom10, Atmega, Syndrome) with the exception of AVR-X, are merely just clones. I for one would feel more at ease not dealing with the clone issue. But then again, if there are a buttload of different legit subscribed clones, how would Charlie shut them all down legally?
