What you are referring to a Dish 500 dual lnb sounds like what is really known as a legacy twin. Reason you are having issues is because it has a SW21 built into it and they don't work well with a DVB card.

You are incorrect about the Dish 500 and the SW21 switch. I have the same system and the SW21 switch on mine is not built in. One of the outputs from each of the LNBs gets plugged into the SW21 and then the switch's output is sent to the receiver. However, I can't get a signal through my system to work with MT, Twinhan 102g, 4x1 diseq, and Dish 500. So maybe you are right, but I doubt it. I would like to know if the LOFs and SWs are different depending on Dish 500 or Dish Pro?

You can't use a SW-21 standalone switch either. The Legacy 500's have a built in SW-21.

NewKid,,,,LoL...there's your prob...you need to get rid of the LNB you have ...and go with a dishpro twin plus LNBF ..or simple legacy LNb's....as the sw21 is causeing the prob.....sorry I missed that one....could have sworn you said dish pro.....LoL......Big diff between a dish pro ...and a dish 500.....

A Dish500 refers to the pie plate folks, not the LNB. A Dish500 rotates to be able to get two birds at once. A Dish300 does not.

You have to know what you have....it's not that hard to hook up a IRD ..do a check switch..it will tell you what you have..LoL......(for the LNB's or LNBF)
