Hello All,

I have been around since the days of hacking DTV, and just came back to find a world of new information. I have a few questions that I was hoping you guys could help me out with.

I am looking to put together a complete system that will allow me to use the new AVR-X card feature. I already have a DTV triple lnb dish, and was wondering if I could use this DTV dish with DN?

I also wanted to know what receivers you guys recommend for DN. I understand I will need to "mod" the receiver to use the AVR-X card feature, but need to know which receiver I should buy? I would like to run three receivers if that makes any difference?

Any information you can provide on the necessary items that I will need to have a complete system that allows me to "test" with the AVR-X would be super. I am totally new to DN, and and a bit lost with all of the information that I am looking at.

Thanks a bunch,

I have the same question, can you use one of the new oval DTV sats for DISH?
I'm also interested in which recievers are the best.
Is DISH lnb hookup different from DTV? I'm assuming all are simply homeruns to the receiver?

I found this on an older thread:

Hey SJ,
I have a 18x24 DTV dish, it has 3 spaces for 101-110-119. If I use the 110-119 spaces can I use this on dish net?

Yes

Is this incorrect? I would really like to use my DTV dish if possible.

Thanks,

has 3 spaces for 101 <<dish don't have 101<<<-110-119.
You only use 1 rec it don't switch
so only use 1 rec
try 508- 2 301-10 -if ever fix so x cayd work
