The 4900 has a single TSOP I am currently getting
The wide open is a possibility a member with a sub says he is getting them all with no gaps. The software with do-it-your-self tiers should fix that.

No I called JT and #40 and Cimba PROS, I am just a 'junior tester' I am here to keep problem people and trouble makers off the "pro's" backs I was not put on because I know a lot about testing, I was put on because I helped fight the site war and have no problem stepping on people who cause trouble.


Your the one suggesting using a dremel to get solder out.
I did that on one of my 301.10 worked fine, slipped the header in, a little heat on each pin and it was done in five minutes.

I did that on the 4900, also worked out fine and now I don't have to hold the PoGo pins anymore to J-Tag and the plug fits my J-Tag & the AVR-X

The vasoline I can live with but it is nothing original I used chapstick for years to do the same.
Hell that may be even better, it will stick better without rubbing off, does it stay slippery, Cimba got a tight one and it cracked coming out, those cards are thin and I worry about that plugging and unplugging

And the "little people?

By little people I was refering to the free TV'ers, like the ones that went out and bought a sub and ran Magic married because they could not figure out how to J-Tag. And who are going to buy either the AVR or the syndrome and have the same problems. I have no idea how many hundreds of times I had to explain how to START the magic program and this is even harder, Have you seen how many people are asking WHAT SOLDERING IRON TO BUY this means they probably never soldered anything electronic before. Maybe never soldered at all before. hey are even asking HOW TO GET THE FUCKING LID OFF THE IRD. And only 1 screw holds the 4900 on.

Forget it, so many people disagreed with my becoming a mod mili put up a dlelete yourself button and told them to use it. It is still there if you want to use it as a protest like some people did.

By the way you are not a member at the other site, which sells nothing, advertises nothing and charges nothing for nothing so if you did not read anything there yourself what did you do believe everything Martok 'embelished' and posted here or are you using different name there too.

a) is the AVR-X working w/ the 301.10 yet?

b) how long does anyone think the AVR-X will last...oh never mind

c) why does everyone keep telling us noobs to "read" as if this was the Library of Congress....when it fact it's closer to a crazed entrepaneurial free-for-all?

d) has any noob like myself recieved a card and succesfully made it work without soldering their fingers to the unit? just curious

e) what do people think is best about this site: the info or the insanity?

btw personaly I thought SJs updates on finally getting his card were rivetting first person journalism and I can't really follow why people are mad at him ...

g) any news on the Atmega 128?

NO it does not work on the 301.10 or the 6000 yet soo we hope I have several 301.10's

We ask people to read because almost any question you could ask has already been asked and answered, maybe a dozen or a hundred times.

A little of both, people have been without their free TV for a long time and are all on edge.

I try to keep my information o a easy to folow level for the people new to testing so every one can understand it. The older hands sometimes skip things or talk over new peoples heads, purley by accident and habit dealing with those who have been around for a while.

I would respectfully ask that my name be left out of such useless threads as this. I have taken no offence with anyone's comments and if I feel necessary will defend myself. Now I just buried my dog of 12 years today who was my best friend and I cried like a baby, I don't need to come in here and see this kind of stuff tearing up the only other place I feel like I have friends.
