You should load your buddies bin and then load an activation script
that should keep you both happy

I am trying to make an “emergency card” for my girlfriend for when the 3M or bin goes down and I am not home. My buddy has a fully subscribed card that he pays for and uses for the same purpose. When I try to use it I get the message “ To start service please call extension 711 “.

Any suggestions?
Does your friend's card have a hack on it, or is it just a platinum subscription from DTV? That's a little odd, getting a 711 nag...I would have expected a "you have inserted the wrong card" message (card married to your friend's receiver)
If it's just a DTV sub, and you're not wanting to modify it...just BOOT it in extreme, READ it and save the read for your own use. Remember...there's always a slight risk of looping your bud's card, and then it's P4 time for him...

Mike

Nothing against you but I think its a good habit for people to keep bins to themselves
I'm even careful with my friends with my bins because you never know who they might be tempted to share with. It's like secerets the only way to keep one is if only one person knows it (yourself).

P.S. would you send your bin to me? Didnt think so.
Have a good one
