The crtc canadas censoring board is not allowing Howard Stern on sirus sateliite radio in canada. This is going to far censoring a payed service.
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can get the opie an anthony show on xm in canada?

Pretty funny that Canada Won't censor Porn or Gay Porn but they will sensor someone that talks about porn.
Howard stern is far more offensive than porn. I've always questioned how he got popular in the first place. The dude is a narrow minded assface.

he has said some bad things about canadians, mostly french canadians, I think people have radio dials, if you don't like don't listen, just like rush limbaugh the fat pig, I would like to see him choke to death, but I think he has a right to be on the air, can't believe they would ban people from listening to him on pay radio

That's how he got popular, he says things no one else will say, just like Jerry Springer.
Offensive, gory, disgusting things are like magnets to many people, the National Inquirer, fans of wrecks at auto races, half the fans of Boxing and wrestling watch for the blood and gore. commercial (TV) wrestling was always that way, REAL wrestling is boring, the wrestlers are actors, classified as stuntmen by the insurance companies. (I hope no one things they are real matches, it is all planned in advance, phoney)
Look at the music people listen to, you will never hear them on the radio they are all banned by the censors but they sell billions of records.
And only slightly less horrible than real life like wars, terrorists, Many of the reality shows go to places other than the U.S. or canada because they are not allowed to do those things here, if they could have real to the death matches it would draw record audiences.
Remember Rome and the gladiators, they will be revived one of these days, as soon as some country see's the money in it and legalizes it.
And it wil be on TV, from a satellite, that no one can stop short of shooting it down.
Maybe from China ? who would shoot their sat down.
The Russians would have liked to shoot down a few of ours down for years, since the days of radio free Europe going to sat and circumventing their jamming.

Telling people what they can listen to an can't listen to on a payed service is just going to far As canadians start an right e-mails to the CRTC an tell them what you think. welll i am for once going to cancell sirius as soon as the donkey cock sucker gets on the air..,.. the only reason i have it is because of the football. if they discount my subscription 2 bucks per month and turn him offf ill keep the service.

I am afraid see no end to it either.
When I was young I was one of those rebels who was going to change all the 'wrongs' in the country, so were my friends in college.
Now my friends (who are now Senators, Congressmen,, Governors and Mayors) are the people we hated years ago propagating the same and even more 'wrongs'
Peoples perspective changes as the winds of politics, money and popular opinion change.

they (or the courts) change what it says and means so often it needs need editions weekly

Documented Fact:
If a court rules against the government prosecutor in a case, the Government can ask that the decision not be publshed in the (westlaw) law books. This keeps defense attorneys (including the original winning attorney) from using the case as "caselaw" in another case before that or another court.
NOW where's the justice in that. How to lose and win at the same time.
RE-writing the law books to suit the government.

hard to digest how The government can put its greasy little hand in what we consider entertainment and that we are PAYING for none the less; i dont think you guys understand the ramifications of that. It's sad that as Canadians we'll just take it up the kazoo with out as much as a ripple of backlash...I hate to make an example to communism or nazism but censorship is cencorship in any language, Homosexual marriage is cool but listening to Howard Stern isnt...God Help us.

I remember when Howard said that Jay Leno should be removed from TV for interviewing Mel Gibson after the Passion of Christ was released.
Well I don't believe in censoring news; then again Howard is just another radio bigot. same as the right wing pill poper.

That is funny because for every one person that cancels(because of Howie) there are and will be TENS of thousands lining up to subscribe (BECAUSE OF HOWIE).
Net gain is 9,999 subscribers to your one loss.
It is about #'s and #'s win!

Anyway O and A will be on Dtv as part of xm package and also xmcanada or so they say and I hear them bout every day some time or another.....
