Problem with Pansat 2500A Key Change

I had been watching my pansat 2500 up until this last key change and I have a problem with loading the new keys. I read where you have to get the top left of screen to say Nagravision 2 but I can't get this to happen, (only says Nagravision)
Is there a new bin file that I have to download before I can get this change or is it suppose to work with the bin file before the key change?

what bin are you using? and yes there is a new bin.

I am having the same problem...This is a response I received from member ANYPLACE" when I asked the same question:


If you took the time to read through the link you would realize that you need the MOST CURRENT BIN Installed -- Which will support the n2 key update.
Older bins do not support N2 Key update. Bins will be dated 10/1/05 for Pansat 2500 it is bin # 256
I've been reading like a fiend. I'm glad to see there are other people not sure about that either. I have had trouble finding bin he refers to. I went into the public download files on this site and went to "free to air" section. # 106 looks like it refers to pansat2500, but I'm not sure at all how to do the download and whether this is the correct file. I've asked a few times, but no one has anserwed me, and I cant find the one "anyplace" refers too. I've had a few people try to help....theyve been great. But if anyone knows where I can find the bin file I need.....please help..

Look for 256t bin or 257p , after load one of the bin ,go to set default ,then exit. U should be OK.

What section can I find bin # 256t or 257p. I looked in the FTA section and I didnt see it....not sure where to find it....Thanks again for your help!:rolleyes:

Thank you Booger and Spiderwoman, I have loaded the 256 bin file and now when I get to the key data area to load the keys, I try to get the nagravision 1 to change to nagravision 2 it won't change. Here are my steps, I begin in the menu at pin box, I go to the second pin at bottom and enter my four number code. I then go to nagravision and enter, then I right volume 11 times to Dish Network, now here at the top left it says nagravision 1, under dish network at right is 00 01 and to the left of this number is Provider ID. Now under this is 00 and to the left of this number is Key Number, If I right click this of course it changes to 01, under this is the key box for entering the new key numbers and to the left of this is Key Data. Now out of all these places where and what do you press 3 time to change the top left box from nagravision 1 to nagravision 2? Thank You.

menu chanel dwn par. cont chanel dwn then ok 2nd pin 0000
chanel dwn to nagra vision then hit ok then key # then vol up 3 times (upper left will say nagra vis 2 ) enter the new 00 keys
f2 98 74 44 1c 65 77 d8 then chanel up 1 time back to key # vol up 1 time upper left should still say nag 2 key 01 chanel dwn enter new keys 17 e3 e1 1d 89 4e 53 45 exit out watch tv

Before you go to Nagravision you need to set default keys, then go to nagravision and you will only need to go like two times to the right

In the public download section under "free to air". Download # 12 named
"X-85BL_051108_256t_api(N)" It says in description that it has the 257 bin with the key already loaded. I have read people suggesting this one. I used one that was "X-85BL_051109-257_api, but I dont see it there. It also had the key changes built in.
