total channels im getting is 187 on each bird. repeats. Getting like 98,95 signal, did the simple lbn like smilingj posts and I even tried to commit lnb 1 and 2 , to no avail. I dwnloaded pron plugins, latest soft.key ...why cant I get these channels pls...pls help...avr emulation was so much easier.not thanks for any replies.

Sounds like you are scanning the same tp's more than once and missisn some. Your tp .ini is probably off. If your using a tp .ini file written for the Dishpro twin on a dual or vice versa, that's what will happen. Try some dfferent .ini files.
Also, check your LOF settings. Should be 1250000,0,1250000 or 0,0,1250000

yeah, that sounds like my problems, because when I do a scan for tps, I can only get a couple, and then others will be no signal. Is their such a tp.ini list in the forum dwnload files, or is their any way of me making my own? The one im using I got it from forum, for dishpro. Thanks for replying.

If you know how to do the math for a dishpro ini file, it is not hard to create your own.

You can check xxx.lyngsat.com for active transponders or better yet if you have a card compatible with tsreader, then check the nit yourself (list of active transponders on the sat).

Im thinking my lnb is one of those with internal sw21 switch, dont know yet, does not have the DP labels, on front. I'll check tommorrow, otherwise, will probably, look for one.

I have one of those twinhan cards and it has probelms achieving the 18V for the Horizontally polarized transponders. It will usually read the nearest Vertical one (14V) and scan its channels leaving me 2 copies of each Vert. channel and no Horiz. ones.

Does this sound like what it is doing? I have a kludgey way of getting around this problem if you think it might help. Let me know.

Yeah. That's your problem. If it doesn't say Dishpro and it's a twin, then it's a legacy. Won't work well with DVB.
Try to find yourself a DP twin. I got mine about 6 weeks ago for $9.99 + $6.00 shipping at ebay.
I got lucky ob that I know.I thought the seller would back out. But you could find a deal.

What I do is hook up my old receiver to the other connection of the dual LNB. Then I tune in a channel I know to be on a Horizontal transponder (18V) or else go to dish pointing and pick Transponder 2 (12297) on 119W. That way the receiver will power the whole transponder and the card should be able to pick up all the channels. If this doesn't help, it could be your LNB.
