i installed all the software and i needto go to add on menu but i dont have one what do i need to do

i did read the guide but it does not give any trouble shooting info i program it exactly how it says but when i need to go to menu to extras/addon to install emu i dont have that option in the menu now im only getting preview channels i need to change to current keys but i cant because of that
